About Us

A journalist for more than 30 years, Kevin Palmer has worked on high profile regional newspapers, including the Derby Evening Telegraph, and the award-winning Birmingham Daily News, Europe's first free metro daily paper.

He has covered just about every type of story and has specialised in reporting defence issues, local and central government, economic development and regeneration, and business.

Kevin has travelled the world and worked on assignments in Germany, Gibraltar, Belize, USA, France, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, and Italy.

He has also worked in public relations for two councils, including Derby City.

Throughout his career Kevin earned the respect of councillors, officials, and business representatives as well as that of fellow professionals.

In 2004 he set up his own business which involves some freelance writing as well as press and public relations. In both cases he has had items in newspapers, magazines, radio and television.

As the proprietor of a young business, Kevin has an empathy with and awareness of the difficulties faced by people who have started their own enterprises, which is why he has successfully worked on behalf of several new businesses to achieve publicity that helps them grow.

He is a member of Derbyshire Chamber, Erewash Partnership, and the National Union of Journalists.

Away from work Kevin helps a small local charity that sends much-needed aid to help children in a poor country. He also likes travel, countryside walking, sport, quizzes, local geography/history/customs and enjoys a pint of real ale.
